ATTENTION!
The Infectious Diseases Society of Ohio has joined
the Infectious Diseases Society of America and numerous other
medical organizations in officially endorsing The Preservation of
Antibiotics for Medical Treatment Act.
This act prohibits the use of antibiotics used to
treat infections in humans as additives to animal feed. The act
allows for the use of these antibiotics for veterinary treatment of
animals. Further information is available at
www.keepantibioticsworking.com.
Congress will be considering this legislation this year.
